Privacy

MOTH AS, Norwegian company number 926 789 716, seeks to protect your privacy. We take care when collecting information that can be linked to you, known as personal information. We also want to give you access to MOTH and the ability to save activities so that you can follow your progress.
This privacy policy applies to all apps published under MOTH, including Klokkeappen. It explains how we process personal information and your rights in relation to that processing.

What information do we collect?

You do not need an online account to use Klokkeappen. Child profiles and practice progress are stored locally on the device. The child’s local profile name is not used as the name on the public leaderboard.

Games with a leaderboard use a separate leaderboard name and a selected avatar. The app sends the leaderboard name, avatar, game result and timestamp to Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore. For multiple choice tasks, the selected time limit is also sent. This information is used to display and rank results and may be visible to others opening the leaderboard. Use a nickname and avoid the child’s full name or other contact details. The connection to Firestore is encrypted in transit.

The app has no advertising, subscriptions or in app purchases. The app store handles the purchase of the app itself. Audio and other online content may be fetched from external content providers. Such requests involve network traffic to the provider.

This description of leaderboards applies to Klokkeappen.

Tallappen, Pluss & Minus, Gangeappen, Brøkappen and Deleappen

These apps do not require an online account. Child profiles, settings and recorded practice progress are stored locally on the device. The apps have no public leaderboards, advertising or in app purchases. They do not send local child profiles or practice results to MOTH's servers and have no built in analytics or advertising tracking. MOTH does not synchronise local progress between devices. Speech playback may use the device's speech service and language settings.

Tellevenn

Tellevenn does not require an online account. Progress and settings are stored locally on the device and shown in the app's parent section. Tasks and recognition of handwritten digits are processed in the app. Handwriting is not sent to MOTH for recognition. The app has no public leaderboards, advertising, in app purchases or built in analytics and advertising tracking. Speech uses included audio clips and may fall back to the device's speech service.

Syngeappen

Syngeappen does not require an account or child profile. Melodies, animations and lyrics run within the app. The app does not record singing or microphone input and does not send singing activity to MOTH. It has no advertising, in app purchases, public leaderboards or built in analytics and advertising tracking.

Local data, app purchases and contact

MOTH cannot look up or delete data stored only on your device. Such data is managed through the app's available settings or by deleting its local data on the device. Device or operating system backups may have their own settings and terms. Google Play or the App Store handles purchases and payments under its terms. If you contact post@moth.no, MOTH receives the information you provide and uses it to answer your enquiry. Avoid sending sensitive information or your child's full name unless necessary.

Website language preferences

When you choose a language on moth.no, the choice is saved in your browser on your device so that we can suggest the same language next time. Dismissing the language suggestion is remembered for the current browser session. This is not used for advertising or tracking. You can remove the preference by clearing the website's stored data in your browser.

Right of access

We aim to be open and transparent about how we process your personal information. If you want a fuller account of the personal information we process about you, you may request access to it.

Right to restriction

You have the right to request that processing of your personal information be restricted.

Right to object to certain processing

You always have the right to opt out of marketing and to object to processing of personal information based on a balancing of interests.

Right to data portability

If our right to process your personal information is based on your consent or the performance of an agreement with you, you may request that information relating to you, which you have provided to us, be transferred to another controller. This is known as data portability. A condition is that the transfer is technically possible and can be automated.

Right to deletion

In some cases you have the right to have your personal information deleted, for example if it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

Right to correction

You have the right to have inaccurate personal information about you corrected. Depending on the purpose of the processing, you also have the right to complete incomplete personal information.

Contact

For privacy questions, access, correction or deletion, write to post@moth.no. State which MOTH app your request concerns. For deletion from Klokkeappen’s leaderboard, provide the leaderboard name, selected avatar and, if possible, an approximate date or score so that we can find the correct entry. Do not send a passport, driving licence or other identification with your first request. If we need more information to identify the correct entry, we will ask only for what is necessary.

When you request deletion of leaderboard results, MOTH deletes the identified entries in Firebase, including the associated leaderboard name, avatar, score, any time limit and timestamp. This does not delete the app purchase in Google Play or the App Store. Local child profiles and progress on the device are managed separately in the app.

Automatic deletion of leaderboard entries has not been configured. Entries are retained until manually deleted, for example following a request to MOTH.
